3-Day Masai Mara Fly-In Luxury Safari

After breakfast at your Nairobi hotel, transfer to Wilson Airport for your scheduled light-aircraft flight to the Masai Mara. The flight is part of the safari experience, crossing the Rift Valley and open countryside before landing at a bush airstrip inside the Greater Mara ecosystem. Your camp guide meets you beside the aircraft, and the transfer to camp becomes your first game drive rather than a simple road transfer. Arrive for check-in and lunch, followed by time to settle into your tent. Later in the afternoon, head out in the camp’s safari vehicle for a game drive timed around the cooler hours and evening light. The route is chosen according to current sightings and camp location, with possibilities ranging from lion and cheetah on open plains to elephant and giraffe in riverine areas. Finish at a scenic point for a sundowner before returning to camp for dinner.

Leave camp around sunrise for the first wildlife session of the day, when predators are still active and temperatures are comfortable. Return for breakfast, then either continue with a longer reserve drive carrying a picnic lunch or break the day into morning and afternoon sessions, depending on the camp’s operating style and your preference. The guide uses the day to explore a wider section of the Mara, following big-cat activity, elephant movements and seasonal herbivore concentrations. During migration months, the route may extend toward the Mara River if current crossing activity and road conditions justify it. Later, enjoy another late-afternoon drive and a second sunset in the bush. Where your confirmed camp lies in or has access to a private conservancy, a night game drive can be added after dark to look for nocturnal species; this activity is not conducted inside the main national reserve and must be confirmed in advance.
